This Privacy Notice explains how I collect, use and protect your personal information in connection with my psychotherapy practice, including information submitted through this website.

If you contact me through this website, by email or by telephone, I may collect the following information:

  • your email address and telephone number;

  • the contents of your enquiry;

  • any information you choose to share about your circumstances or reasons for seeking therapy.

Please avoid including detailed medical information or highly sensitive personal information in your initial enquiry wherever possible. Relevant information can be discussed during an initial consultation if we decide to work together.

How I use your information

I use the information you provide in order to:

  • respond to your enquiry;

  • communicate with you about arranging an initial consultation;

  • consider whether psychotherapy may be appropriate for your needs;

  • maintain administrative records relating to enquiries.

If we decide to work together, you will be provided with a separate Therapy Agreement and Privacy Notice explaining how personal and sensitive information is collected, used and stored during therapy.

Confidentiality and emergencies

Enquiries made through this website are treated confidentially. However, this website, contact form and email are not monitored continuously and should not be used for urgent or emergency communications.

I do not provide an emergency or crisis service. If you believe that you or somebody else is at immediate risk of harm, please contact your GP, NHS 111, your local mental health crisis team, attend your nearest Emergency Department, or call 999 in an emergency.

How your information is stored

Information submitted through the website or by email is stored securely and access is restricted to me.

I take reasonable steps to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
